A friend of a friend recently moved house and is getting some floorstanders. His year old Dynaudio DM 2/6 speakers are getting traded in against the new speakers next week. I have got first refusal and can buy them for the same price as he is trading them in for. The downside is that I will not have a chance to audition them and will have to buy blind. Now, I shortlisted them when I bought my current Totem Dreamcatchers, but never got to hear them. However, it is said that Dynaudio and Naim are a great match, and even my old NAC62/NAP90 combination should manage to get a tune out of them. So, is it worth a £200 gamble? I suppose that I could always sell them on and not lose too much, even though they appear to be a discontinued model now. Any thoughts on what they might give me that is different to the Dreamcatchers? I am expecting a bit more attack, precision and a touch more bass.
