Hi..

I am still using dvd player at this moment to watch old and new movies, until now I realise some new movies in dvd become less energy in sound.

Rambo 4 & Transformers sounds great in dvd, but when i watch some later movies like Hulk, I am Legend & Iron-man, some explosive sounds like not good enough. I think this must be influenced by new era of HD audio format that is
supposedly used in HD discs but when this sountrack encoded to dvd,
some data lost. If this really happen, maybe we all need to buy BD player to watch new movies in future

Well, it's mostly going to be down to how the soundtracks are produced - there's no reason why DVD soundtracks would be worse now than before unless less time was being spent producing them.

Of course, you could insinuate the movie studios might be doing this deliberately to "encourage" people to move to Blu-Ray but I'm not going there.

most here will probably have bdps indeed. but we need to get to the point where i can get whatever new film i want on br from my nearest well known rental shop. surprisingly, we arent there yet. and as i say, im only asking for new ones, not old...Maybe its different release dates or something...silly if it is tho...

i must confess tho that, having my bdp for a good couple months now, i still somtimes forget to look for BRs...ahem...
