I wouldnt ever suggest using re-writable discs

So many burners struggle with them its just too much hassle and you can get recordable discs so cheap these days its not worth it (So if you DO buy some re-writables its no guarantee theyll work)

Cant really help you with 2-3 discs as I buy bulk but you can get 100 recordables for 14 quid from play.com (To give you some idea of just HOW much more the re-writables cost)

I'm not sure if you maybe just need standard recordable DVD's, rather than rewritable ones? As Rik says, standard DVDR discs are pretty cheap.

But if you really need DVD RW, I can thoroughly recommend Sony's own. I bought a box from Tesco a while back, purely for the missus to re-use. She was quickly gathering a large stack of DVDR's, but now she just needs one little box of 10 RW's. Handy!

They've worked faultlessly on a Sony 560 recorder and my PC's.

Sony own brand disks are rock solid being using them for a few years no bad burns.
