DVD players...

Hi, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask for opinions on:

1. I have a Sumsung HD870 dvd player and would like to make it multi-regional (it is only region 2), how is the best way to do this/get this done?

2. I have a Panasonic TX-32LXD700 lcd tv and have been thinking about getting a blue-ray disc player. After reading the recent What Hi-Fi I had thought about going for the Panasonic DMP-BD35. Do you think this would be suitable for the tv and how good is the dvd upscaling as I have a lot of dvd's which I will still watch. Also, will I be able to get one which is multi-regional?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Samsung multiregion hack here.

Can't comment on which bluray player to buy, though I think you'll find that they're either not multiregion yet or are outrageously expensive to chip - haven't quite worked that one out yet.

I don't know if this is of any help but PRC direct do a multiregion panasonic BD35 blu-ray player for £226.95. sorry i don't have a link.
