DVD Player for Samsung LE37R87BDX

Hi,

I currently have the Samsung LE37R87BDX and want to add a DVD player which will give me the best possible picture. Since the TV can't cope with a full HD 1080p feed, is there any point in buying a blu-ray player? Would this actually make any difference to the picture or would an upscaling DVD player be just as good? If possible could you suggest a few players? I'd prefer a Samsung as I'd be able to use one remote.

Hi there,

If you want a Samsung model then the Samsung BD-P1500 Blu Ray player springs to mind. Although your TV is not full HD you will still get a better picture from the Blu-Ray player than an upscaling DVD player.
