Does the Sony KDL- 40W2000 support 24fps playback?

I bought a Sony KDL-40W2000 a bit more than a year ago and are looking to buy a Blue-Ray Player. Will the LCD be able to playback at 24fps? Please help. I can not find anything in the manual.

Pretty sure it doesn't - you've got to remember that when that set came out in the summer of 2006, there were no HD players for 24fps to be an issue (and not even completed specs for either format). As the current, February issue shows, Sony still hasn't got its Blu-ray players fully sorted in early 2008!

Thank You for your reply Clare. I thought that might have been the reality. I am quite disappointed with their stand-alone Blue ray players.

Just to confirm what Clare has said - no, the W2000 definitely does not support 24fps playback.
