Does the chromecast 2 support multi room streaming like the audio?

I'd like multi room streaming for my Avr but I'd like the video functions as well.

I use Spotify alot and was wondering will it work with the multi room like the chromecast audio.

Also, what are people thinking of it so far?

As an owner of a Chromecast 2 video I was asking the same question, but so far it seems multi room audio is only for the Chromecast audio.
They're basically a bargain sounding great via optical out or hdmi. The interface is smooth, the response almost instanly, no dropouts.
The main difference is: do you want to switch your tv on when using it? Yes then buy the Chr 2 with hdmi. No then buy the Chr 2 audio with optical out.
