Does Marantz sr6008 match well with B&W 685?

Hi!

I'm new here and I wanted to ask some questions to experts in here.

I'm planning to upgrade my marantz cr603 with an av receiver so I can enjoy more my movies. I had my thought on the marantz sr6008.

1) Anyone who can recommend me this receiver to match with the B&W 685 speakers? (After a while I'll maybe add B&W 683 or 684 speakers to my setup as front speakers and use the 685 as rear speakers.)

2) Will my speakers sound better with the marantz sr6008 receiver instead of the cr603 amp?

The onkyos will be a better match with your b&ws.

All subjective but best thing to do is go and have a demo at a relevant store. Onkyo and Marantz both work well but research highlighted that the majority prefer a Marantz/B&W combo.

Personally, at the time, I went with a SR7007 and B&W 685 surround set up. Absolutely love it. You should experience better sound etc from the SR6008 over the CR.

Everyone will give their opinion/views but the only way you're gonna know is if you go and demo.
