I thought the B&W Zeppelin Wireless speaker was rubbish! I like my B&W speakers but they are very old and I think B&W have gone away from stylish speakers too, I don’t like the look of the new speakers they are selling, they are ugly and way too expensive. Bought a pair of B&W PX8 headphones which I like very much but only bought them because I got them half priced on the German Amazon website from the full UK price of £600.

Even B&W can’t make wireless speakers sound good though. I would used to buy B&W speakers only and I suppose I would again but I would have to buy and pay a lot more now with lesser quality speakers for my money, which has put me off upgrading my speakers. I don’t know what I would buy instead to get better value for money, perhaps Monitor Audio speakers.

As a retailer in a previous life, company ownership on its own didn't matter, but the relationship between the owning company and the hifi company absolutely did.

Typically, if owned by another company, especially the likes of Sound United, the less of a partnership the relationship between us and them felt. The revolving door of reps, new 'initiatives' coming in because someone wanting to make a stamp. That sucks.

Not saying that all companies owned by others do that - KEF was always very good with us, Cyrus, and distributors such as Henley... those folks had longevity of staff, and looked after us. Felt much more like a partnership, and that matters.
