Good to hear from you, Iceman. Your system must be very impressive.

As for mine (see signature), it continues to amaze with all good recordings. Bad recordings do sound bad though. But since I mainly listen to classical music, where there are very few poor modern recordings, I'm blessed with wonderful sounds almost all the time.

Music through the Devialet - LS50 combo still sounds gorgeous to my ears!

But I'm gonna be frank with you, guys: I'm on pins and needles to start building my new set-up...

Yes, still get a hell of a kick out of living it loud. It became a bit "odd" recently with the addition of the Oppo. I could suddenly play just about anything. Made exploring hi-res files, video of all sorts an interesting experience. Biggest surprise was multi-channel audio, which I was expecting to be carp, but it wasn't.

(But then I'll settle back into listening to great stereo music)

One very happy bunny.

What started out looking for a cheap compact alternative to the rubbish dock and bluetooth type speakers for my kitchen has given me the hifi bug again. I'm more than happy with the system for the peanuts i've paid for it, however i will be keeping a eye on ebay and gumtree for used gear to build a better system for the lounge. I've just have to work out how to tell the mrs!

Yes, I still very much like my system/s. I add to it periodically but changes are few and far in between.

My box swapping days are behind me and I have learned to appreciate what I have.

Every now and again something comes along which is tempting ie. the Muso, a CA amplifier but after quickly looking into it I normally loose interest just as quickly.

Purchases are also seasonal. My other love is cycling and during the summer this is where my interests lie and where some of my disposable income goes.

During winter I get interested in hifi a little bit more.

Sort of! When I came out of hospital in February I had great pleasure listening to my Rega RP3/TTPSU, Apollo-R, and Brio-R again and that's when I purchased a pair of RS1s. Unfortunately I had to sell the CD and amp and hoped to get by with Denon 720s or my A400 and RCD965BX. It hasn't worked out that way and I've massively missed the depth of the full Rega set-up so now I'm in more of a position to again, I'm putting it back together. Just glad I didn't sell the turntable, TT PSU or RS1s as re-purchasing the whole lot wouldn't be possible.

Glad to see someone else has discovered what an amazing bit of kit the Oppo is. Mine has replaced my old Stello transport / dac combo and is homeplugged to my Nas drive with hires on memory sticks. A real bargain for the money considering what it does and the sound quality.

I have changed my turntable recently but can now say that I am very happy with my system.
