Do I need a passive Subwoofer ?

Hey I bought a Onkyo 5.1 system but it did not come with a Subwoofer.

I want something cheap, just to fill in the bass, and nothing earth shattering as this is for the bedroom.

Onkyo amp is a HT-R380

If I do need a passive, what is the best?

A quick google confirms a passive subwoofer.

Did you buy it as a package with speakers, or was it just the amp? (Just asking because you said you bought a 5.1 system. If so, it should have come with the sub!).
