I usually just prop a cover up against the bookshelf or rack when playing a record. Simples. It really never crossed my mind to do it otherwise, not now and not the first time round I’ve collected, many years ago.

My partner recently showed me some ‘playing now’ stands on Amazon. We both had a look but did not like any. Thought a moment about it and found this little A frame easel. She’s happy. I can’t say it changed my life but hey … .

What do you use (or are you like me and don’t care much about such things?)

I would say I don't care but, I do have Foobar2000 set to display the album cover on my screen, which I suppose, implies I do care, a bit.

If I wanted a stand for a CD, I would go out to my shed and make one.

Great for live albums, as you can pretend you are there as you stare at a picture the other side of the room. Just to complete the set-up, I suggest you queue for 20 minutes to go to your own toilet. Then queue by the fridge, before taking a cold can out and leaving £10 note on the shelf. Ah, that live music experience. Can't beat it.

I bought Vinyl Record Stand to take photos of the cover. It is for photos on laptop while playing music. It goes with photos of mine Commodore N25 Semi AcousticVINYL RECORD STAND.jpg Guitar.

Currently just rest mine against the speakers. I should invest in one but figured save the money for another record. Perhaps a good Christmas present idea for the wife or daughter.1000000135.jpg

They are a pair of wedge monitor speakers. Daughter of one of me best mates who passed away was going to throw them out as when she was selling off her dad's music equipment shop she took a lot of the stuff to wouldn't buy them as they couldn't locate the brand name of them so she offered them to me for free and of course I said yes didn't want them going to the bin. they sound phenomenal attached to a 600watt amp and a technics deck. They have 6 meter cables so I can move them around the room.
