I am planning on buying a Cambridge Audio DACMagic and would like to connect my Sky HD box to it to enhance the radio sound. As there is only one optical connection on the HD box and I still need to connect it to my receiver, I plan on using one of these http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/SP001.html

Does anyone know if this will a) work and b) that it won't lessen the sound from my receiver by splitting the connection?

Many thanks.

I'm sure I read somwhere that this will only send the optical output to two receivers and that you couldn't use it the other way round might be wrong. Anyway I use one of these

I run my PS3, Sky HD and Xbox 360 optical outputs into a single optical input on my TX-SR606, seems fine to me although it is a manual switch.

Thanks. I've found a solution now - the new Sky HD box has a coaxial and an optical input - I've ordered one. Cheers.
