Hello,

I'm currently looking at a digital audio switching unit i.e. Optical to co-axial.

The first is a Banbridge digital audio switching unit.

The second is a QED Optical and Co-axial Converter plus booster.

Both are around the £50 mark.

Does anyone on the forum have any experiance in these products or alternatives suggestions?

Or would I be better just buying a Blu-Ray player (considering price) with a digital co-axial out which is the problem anyway?

Thanks and regards

As far as I know, optical/TOSlink and coax uses the same transfer protocol (S/PDIF), so all these devices do is to convert electrical pulses to light pulses and vice versa.

Meaning that any device will be equally good.

QED has a better name though, is probably more expensive, and might be better built and thus last longer.
