Hi All

I've settled on Diamond 10.1 for my (budget) hi fi set up. That said, my living room is 200 sq ft. Will they be powerful enough to fill it? I tend to listen mainly to classical and not at super high volume, as I live in a flat. I like the look of the 10.3s but according to the What Hi Fi review, the 10.1s sound better. Not much price difference once you add in the cost of stands.

Also will there any problem matching these to my Marantz PM4400 amp? It is 2x 30 watts, 8 ohms. Sorry if these aren't the right measurements to check on, I don't know that much about hi fi!

Thanks
Reubs

I've listened to the Diamond 10.1s and they pack quite a punch for small speakers. Marantz matches well with Wharfedales. Wharfedales are laid-back while Marantz is dynamic and detailed. I do recommend you go for Chord SS speaker wire as they might balance out any "brightness" in the treble if you find the speakers a bit bright, which I did. The soundstage is big and spacious and will fill up your room easily. Make sure you get some good stands and it can increase the dynamic reach of your speakers.
