all i can say is that with the wharfeales(Diamond 9 which can be had at bargain prices) and Chord cables my system is working wonders, the others speaker, i have never tried, that is all i can help............,

If you have the room for a good floorstander that will wholly negate the need for a sub, get a pair of Q Acoustics 1050i - huge speakers, huge sound, ideal for music and movies. Check out Superfi to see if they're still doing them for under £200. With the recent 2050 replacing them in the company's lineup, the 1050i dropped in price.

Don't be put off by the low price; there's at least one guy on here picked a pair up and was blown away by how good they were, while Hi Fi World had them as Product of the Year in late 2008.
