Denon DM37 and Yamaha CRX-M170

I'm looking at getting the Denon DM37 to replace my Yamaha CRX-M170 that recently went bang. The long term plan is to get a surround sound system, but the short term plan is to use the Denon unit with the speakers that came with the Yamaha unit, which were the standard ones. I've read something about speaker impedance. Should the new setup be ok?

yes the yamaha i guess are 6 ohm on the denon you can use 4 to 8 ohm
