Denon decision

I'm looking to replace my aging Denon AV Amp with a 2809. I also would like the Denon2500 Blu Ray player. Would the 2809 be the fine match for the 2500 or do I need to look at the upgraded 3808A?

The Denon 2809 would work fine with the 2500 Blu-ray player, and you can read our full review here. But it is a bit on the pricey side, and you might also want to consider Yamaha's DSP-AX863SE which is £200 less and offers even better performance in our view.
