I have a Denon AVR-X2300W hooked up to a Philips 50PUS7805 50" 4K TV, through hdmi output 1.

I did have an Optoma HD50 connected to the AVR through hdmi output 2.

Recently I've swapped the HD50 with an Epson EH-TW7000 and upgraded all input and output hdmi cables to hdmi 2.2.

I'm getting a great picture on each output but I cannot swap between AVR output 1 and 2 without going into settings-video-output settings-videoOut:
This is where I have to switch between monitor 1 and 2.

This was not the case with the HD50.

Any advise would be gratefully received

On most AVRs you can either select out 1 or 2 or both, that's all.
All you need to do is have both outputs on and switch on whichever item you want to use. (If you have them both switched on then the one with the lowest resolution will normally take priority as the AVR outs are not normally independent)

Turns out, swapping the outputs didn't do anything.

Plus, I've realised that when I select Auto (Dual) for video out, I'm getting nothing, that's why I have to select monitor 1 or monitor 2.

I'm wandering if the old denon is up to the job

are you able to access the inputs and out puts on the Denon settings i had a similar issue with my Marantz
