Denon AVR-3311 - £650

Hi, Ive been offered a Denon AVR-3311 for £650 which is a really good deal I think, but Im just wondering if theres anything better for around that price since WHATHIFI didnt rate it that highly?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

That is a good price.

I had a 3310 and it was a fantastic receiver.

The 3311 has Apple air play and a few more features including the better Auddyssey MultiEq XT calibration.

Give it a demo!

I would seriously doubt anything with a retail price of only £650 would even come close. I would go for it - googling ebay shows a a couple sold recently at a similar price. So you could get it then sell it if it was not to your taste, without losing much.

I had a 3311 but sold it for £700 a couple of weeks ago on ebay. It's an excellent receiver but needs to be paired with some decent speakers. I replaced mine with the denon avr a-100 which works better for my apex.

would speakers like the tannoy revolution signatures be good enough to pair with the 3311 you think? i got the 3311 as an ex-demo, pretty good deal i think

You did get a great deal with the Denon.The Tannoy's will partner nicley with the 3311.

i bit like gosh said the late few years of denon av amps really seemed to get better the louder you can drive them so. if you were in a smallish room or dont like things loud then the 3311 could never be aloud to sing imo.

At £650 I would snap it up right away, that is a great price for a great product, and im shocked at how cheap you have found it, Even if you bought it and then sold it you would probably make money on it! Now which speakers you planning to buy, becasue it does matter
