I have a Denon avr-1909 which has been away for repair for almost 4 weeks now, due to Denon still not having the particular part and not knowing how many more weeks it will take for the repair to be completed they have agreed to send out a avr-1910 instead. This sounds like a result but to my surprise the 1910 seems to have lost alot of connectivity on its rear panel. I understand hdmi is becomming the standard and the 1910 has an extra hdmi socket but is there any other reason why have they gotten rid of 1 audio input, 1 component input and all s-video inputs and outputs?
I have the option to wait longer and eventually get my 1909 repaired or accept the 1910, I was told by my dealer the 1910 is better but im not sure in which sense?
Also can someone tell me if the display on the reciever is still the same where it shows how many audio channels are being fed in and out of the reciever?
I will most likely keep the 1910 as long as it really is a brand new unit like denon has promised, if its graded or worse it will have to go back.
