Denon AH-710 for £50 or Shure SE110 for £55+

I personally would go for AH-C710 then the Shure's. It's a personal choice however, I just prefer the Denon house sound to the Shure's.

Can't say I've tried the Denon's, but I'm very happy with my (2nd - left 1st pair on a plane - doh!) pair of SE110's and I paid significantly more than £55, so it sounds like a bargain to me! A very natural sounding pair of earplugs IMO, plenty of taut bass, but not overpowering, and certainly allows a lot of detail through. Cable quality good (nice and thick) and there's no sign of any wear despite daily use cycling to work. The split cable i find very useful, meaning i can use an iphone mic cable for cycling and general use, then a v short ipod shuffle connect directly to the Y-piece for gym and running. Noise-blocking seems excellent too (they've put in good service in a very noisy gym and are excellent for traveling - my first listen listen to Radiohead's In Rainbows was via these on my iPhone on a very overcrowded overnight flight, and had me grinning ear to ear for the amazing level of detail - and silence - in the production.) All in all, can't fault them, and at £55 I might have to get the OH a pair!

EDIT: Just realised mine are the SE210's... That'll be why they were more expensive! They're great if you can get hold of them cheap (eg ...) though!

I've got some Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5's which are excellent at blocking out noise & great sound. A bargain on Play.com for £40.00.

i was actually just about to order them, ive heard they have bad bass though? But is it worth it?
