Y'see, that's one of the reasons I'm holding off investing in Blu-ray Disc hardware and software. I'm waiting until it's finished...

Hi Jase.
I upgraded a couple of weeks ago, thought it had cured a "problem" I had with a music blu ray, when skipping chapters the sound disappeared and I had to stop the disc and press play again to get it back.
This appears to have stopped on that particular disc, but now it has happened on another, have you had any issues with any discs, does not seem to happen on movies.

No (touch wood) i hav'nt, i have never watched any music bluray's so i cant comment mate, but since i did the last firmware back in january its been fine, im only going to upgrade the firmware if i encounter a problem as i dont want to risk it otherwise, ha
But what a downer for you, if i was you id be tempted in phoning Denon & explaining it to them.

recent update to my issue, turns out it was my 1909 receiver, sent it back to Denon returned within the week and had a software upgrade.
My previous player Panasonic DMP BD50 was decoding the HD audio on board and not using the receiver, so changing to the 2500 BT hilighted the issue as the amp had to decode the audio.

My Sony BDP-S350 has never refused to play any discs.

I installed it on my broken Denon 3 weeks ago.

Blu-ray movie "An American Carol" freezes after previews play.
We have to add two more BD's: "Band of Brothers" and "Lionel Richie, Live; His Greatest Hits and More". The trailer/promo in the beginning of both discs plays correctly, but the Main Movie will not play at all.
It takes about two minutes until JAVA of Blu-ray disc "GHOST IN THE SHELL 2" is reading completed.
The picture and sound stop temporarily by "0:05:34" when "Cinema navigation" of Blu-ray disc "WALLE" is reproduced.
When Blu-ray disc "Bedtime Stories" is played the previews will play and then the "Power ON" or "Loading" appear on the display and the previews begin again.
The unit is connected with "SONYSTR-D6400ES" with HDMI. Even if "DTS-HD MA 192kHz 5.1ch" is selected, DTS(Legacy) is output from the unit.
