Denon 2012 bluray player

Does this player provide good CD sound quality?Can it be considered to be the equal of a dedicated CD player costing around say £ 250
Users please advise.

I was really imprested with this denon's CD, and especially SACD sound. Very detailed, crisp stereo definition, clear instrument separation, controlled bass. Burr Brown DAC does a very good job. That was the reason why I have bought this universal player instead of CA and OPPO little brothers. Strongly recommend to consider for audition. DVDs look very nice indeed.

In addition to my previous post I wanted to add that even my wife noticed the difference with Denon. She thought that Andrea Bocelli CD I was listening at the time, was actually SACD. I must say I was very pleased with that. Who wouldn’t.... when women in a house appreciate good sound.
