If he wants to be deleted, then delete him.

At least he's
started a thread that doesn't do the normal "decided to give the forum
a rest so everybody write in to say how wonderful I am and how I'll be
missed" sort of egotistical
hmmm ?? thats a standout 2nd post , youve obviously been following without posting , welcome to the forums

EDITED BY MODS - please do not discuss moderation.

Looks like the only forum I'm having trouble with is this one. A joke about ADM9.1s and I get vilified for no reason.

If there is one thing that I have learned about how a forum works;

- it is easier to accidentally cause upset and take things the wrong way on a forum, as we do not have all of the visual and tonal cues when we speak to another.

- people are less guarded by what they say as we will mostly never meet.

Thats two things.

....And if your thread subject is not "in vogue" or whacky enough then you are subject to omittance.

....and;

- it perfectly acceptable to laugh at your own jokes.

- having rhino hide helps.

- it is just your luck whether you post something that races away or goes virtually unread.

I know this thread was started by Octopo with tongue firmly planted in the cheek. However, I just find it a surreal subject to start.

What I find amusing (and others) may not apply to all, I except that.....that's life.

I loved it. You should consider going pro.

anyway, what the bobbins is going on?! Chill out albums, people being called to by their kettles, making jokes about my speakers (which are exactly 1 billion times better than anything else, i hear).

oh, and, can we have a section specifically for slagging off other forums? go on. you know it makes sense...

EDIT and it better be ok to laugh at your own jokes. theyre hilarious but no one seems to agree with me.

This forum is at its best when it reads like a conversation between mates down the pub.

Note - I no longer post whilst under the influence.

Er...no...

I'm the dog. I'm well read and have a diverse stock portfolio. But I'm not above eating grass clippings and regurgitating them on the rug.

when i read this thread this morning - i just asumed he had asked something and then decided he didn't need a response and by putting delete me he just meant scrap the post/thread before anyone answered not that he was off! but could be wrong!
