Hey guys,

I didn't know where else to go to help troubleshoot this problem so I hope I can find some help here.

I have a Project III Debut (USB version) and it suddenly stopped working.

There is a loud hum that comes from connecting it to speakers and no music comes through.

This is the case when I connect it to my receiver/speakers and when I use the USB to run it through my computer.

I hope that's enough information for a dianosis of what could be wrong. Again, there's not even a faint sound of music making it to the speakers, just one loud hum.

Thanks for your time and any help!!!!

Try swapping the cables to a different phono in connection on your amp, otherwise it might be the inbuilt phono stage in the turntable.

If the latter and If it is in warranty, then the retailer is your first port of call, if not then contact Henley suppport who distribute the product. They are a very helpful company.

Other wiser people will be along to advise of alternatives.

That's really helpful, thanks.

I don't think it's the phono cables because when I run it through USB, I have the same problem.

When I do the USB setup, it runs through Audacity on my computer and out through laptop speakers. It's not even connected to the receiver in that case. And I still get the loud buzz with no music hiding underneath.

Thanks for your time!

I believe the phono amp supplies both the digital and analog outputs so both not working makes sense however the problem could lie upstream at the tonearm end,Check the connections into the cartridge and see if you can see any damage/disconnection to the cables both there and at the base end of the tone arm.
