I did it again, i bought som new speakers, had the Wharfedale Diamond 220 (test, review)and thought my nad amp would kick some butt (bass), they where soo cheap

The diamond 220 bass still suck big time, so discrete,so suttle,so disapointing, after a few hours i returned them

Used the live chat where i bought them and he said, instead of buying cheap speaker buy some decent speakers, thought about that, have seen the review of the Dynaudio Emit 10 (the Emit 20 is to wide for my desk with a 34" pc monitor) and since the gtx 1070 graphic cards are gonna be expensive i have already desided to keep what i have and wait 2-3 month for the gtx 1060 (evga 90 days step up) and buy some new speakers (have the money for som decent sepakers) since i listen to alot more music then i game and with the looong delivery time for the new gpu's theres alteast 2 week's before theres alot of the good card to choose from (gtx 1080) and even longer with gtx 1070

Dynaudio Emit 10 cost 450£ where i live and not 500£ as in the review, so that is what i have bought

I use audioquest flx slip 14/4, are they a good combination with My nad C326BEE and Dynaudio Emit 10?

I use a fairly avarage interconnect between my dac and amp and would like it if someone could get me in the right direction to where i can get some good xlr to rca cable, since it's the weakest link i have and with new speaker i want something just a bit better (under 100€)

That Audioquest cable is one I have tried with poor results. For years I had some solid-core 2mm cable of unknown provenance. I think it's Nordost but it came off a spool and isn't branded so I'm not sure what it is at this stage.

Upgraditis struck and I could get that Audioquest cable cheap in a local dealer so I thought I'd have a go as it would surely be better than my old stuff.

Volume, detail, dynamics and punch all disappeared. Once you cranked up the volume a couple of notches it sounded ok, balanced all round but something was missing. There was no life to the music.

Replacing my old cable a week or so later restored all that was lost. The experiment back-fired but was worthwhile as I've managed to rid myself of the urge to upgrade (well..........on cables anyway

Could never use something that cheaps like value for mey cable you almost get for free because it's so cheap

Van Damme Blue from £3/m is all the speaker cable you will ever need. It comes in a variety of thicknesses to suit your required length (resistance) and is what is used in many recording studios. I have made many, many expensive mistakes fiddling with exotic cables and wasted literally thousands of pounds on Nordost, Tellurium, Chord Company, Clearaudio etc. In coming to this conclusion. Maybe tens of thousands to be honest.

All you are doing with these cables (if anything) is altering the FR of your loudspeakers so that they are off-spec. Buy a set of neutral, correctively resistive, speaker cables, keep them as a constant in your system, and then build your electronics around that.

Thanks Gazzip, that needed to said, ypu have actually tried this stuff out, usually out of reach for most HiFiers.

I have changed from USB to optical from pc to DAC. Richer Sounds said that USB audio had the edge. Well it must be a sharp edge indeed.

Yes, it's cheap but not free, and It looks like great.

I have downgraded from Chord Silver Screen.

I suppose the 770 strand should be able to go loud without distortion and the Emit 20's don't distort.

Oh the synegy, it's like poetry.

Have never tried van damm ones i wanted to try this cable http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-speaker-cable/ when i found it it cost 15$ on there website but on amazon.co.uk 36£ with almots 50% off

from time to time i have noticed a difference

A fairly thick supra classic to supra ply 3.4 i got a less bright sound

Going from cheap audioquest for the top and midrange with audioquest midnight for the bass it sounded good but much better with the midnight cable for the top and midrange with no noticeable difference in the bass with the cheap cable

Thickness does do something to the bass.

What thickness do you recommend?

I rather go a size up then what is recommend to be shure it's thick enough and also if a thick cable gives a slightly better bass i would consider it, without just buying the thickest cable and thick i would get monster bass compared to an avarage 2.5 mm cable which goes with most systems, speakers

What's up with the blue 2 pair,4 pair,8 pair cable compared to the regular cable?

Is the 2 pair,4,pair,8 pair... for pro installation with multiple tweeters, midranges, bass with only one cabel? (i guess it's the last cable i should buy)
