Looking for a new TV cabinet in dark oak or walnut and wife would like matching coffee table and bookcase.

Needs to house a 40" LCD (probably going to upgrade this to either 50" or 55") centre speaker, Sky HD, Arcam AV amp, Blu-ray player, Sonos Connect, NAS drive and broadband router.

Been looking for a cabinet with a centre shelf that would house the centre speaker and then 2 doors either side that would house the electronics (have just decorated and have a soundstyle rack at the moment and wife doesn't like to see all the boxes/wiring).

Anybody got any ideas, maybe even to get them custom made, I live 20 miles outside of Glasgow.

Any help much appreciated.

If you can sketch out a design then bespoke is the way forward. I have no commercial affiliation, but as a very happy customer, check out Stump Furniture. Amazing value for money given it is bespoke and very high quality.

I have no idea what the angry tiger is on about. I would second the suggestion of stump furniture and also add chunky monkey as an alternative. Typical racks should cost between £250 - £500 depending on size, complexity, wood and handles etc. Obvioudky there's cheaper available but also much more expensive and these are fully bespoke. Check my av link in my sig for my av rack.

Try the BDI range - I'm looking at buying the Eras 8357 which seems to meet your requirements, is a retro ercol design and has an accompanying furniture range. I also note that PC world on their webiste stock other BDI products and have them discounted which for BDI stuff if rare.

I made my own and it cost me £600 in wood alone, I was quoted £2500 to have one made.

Well if you paid a little more you could have had the guys at Stump Furniture build it for you for well under £1000.

I am in no means loaded, and would never pay £2500 on bespoke. Saw these guys on another forum and got in touch. They were over £1000 cheaper than the other quotes I received and were far more helpful.

This is what I have arriving on Thursday....

What do you mean by stupid prices?! Maybe you should check out their website. IMO, £500-1000 is very reasonable for totally bespoke furniture

You haven't uploaded the picture properly. The url needs to end with .jpg.

If this is aimed at me...

Why would I pay more for something I can build myself and probably a better built one as well.

I'm with Michael on this. If you have the ability make it yourself.

I usually get the glass from IKEA and design something around that... Very rewarding too
