Hello,

as l'm increasingly listening to Spotify (premium) via a pc, l've toyed around with a few dacs. The one l'm using at present is a Temple Audio class T amp/dac, that is only 15 wpc & though it drives a pair of KEF Coda 'speakers ok, the sound production is just not dynamic enough for me.

Last night l dug out an old Denon M33 receiver, disconnected the Temple Audio dac & just used the on board pc sound card. The music was surprisingly good via the Creative Audio sound card; however, (as always) l want a better sound hence is the Firestone Audio Fubar ll worth it & what can l expect from this dac?

l only want a dac for music purposes, other model recommendations welcome.

Thanks

Not 100% sure, but I'd say there are quite a few ppl with experience of the FUBAR IV, but more as a combined DAC/headphone amp and there is the magazine's review and possibly some users of the spitfire DAC, but I've seen no users of the FUBAR II on this forum. As the specifications/DAC chips etc in the IV differ from the II I'm not sure our experiences count for much when trying to evaluate the II.

I love my FUBAR IV as a headphone amp/DAC but I wasn't impressed when using it as a DAC into my amp, but that's mainly because I can only compare it to the usable DAC section of my RZ-1, which considering the price and specs, is in a different league.

Sorry long post without any useful feedback
