DAB/FM Alarm Clock with docking for iphone 4s help needed please

I would be sooooooooo grateful if someone can help me please! I have read sooooo many reviews that I am more confused than when I started! I want to buy my partner a DAB/FM Alarm Clock with docking for iphone 4s, but just when I thought the ChronosII was 'the' one to buy, I read some Amazon reviews with just 1 x star, which mentioned a 'buzzing' noise. My partner loves his music and 'sound' is all important to him! At the moment, he either carries his DAB radio to the bedroom at night, or uses a DAB packet radio with headphones. He plays his music when he goes to sleep and when he wakes up (and all day!!!) I looked at the Magic Box Tower, but was put-off by the fact that it's not very stable. The Siesta idock reviews state the sound isn't very good. I really have tried to do my homework.... my budget is low :-( I could maybe stretch to £80 although if someone says the very best one is £100 I would make the effort to get enough cash together to buy it. So, please can anyone help this non-technical newbie? Thank you.
PS I'm so NOT technical, that I don't even know how to add an 'smiley' to this message!!!!

Have a look at the Roth DBT-001 at £99.
It does not have a dock, but does have Bluetooth, so you could connect the iPhone that way (without wires - it's easy). In terms of sound quality it is very good for the price, akin to the Tivoli iPal BT, which is £240 (although that is overpriced). It's also small enough for the bedside table.
The only issue is that it's a little quirky to operate. For most things this won't be a problem, you'll soon get used to it. On the alarm however the snooze button is very small; I'd struggle to find it when half asleep. I suggest you find one in the shops and have a look. Oh and it looks great in white (other option is black)
I've just reviewed it, and several similar devices, for an annual magazine that a friend of mine publishes, so am speaking from recent experience with it. I can't think of anything else that will compete with it on sound.
BTW, if your partner keeps his phone by the bed, why not use the alarm on that (there are numerous Apps available for next to nothing). Then you just need a speaker, wired or otherwise, for the sound. He can use the phone for radio (internet radio) assuming your wifi signal reaches the bedroom. If you go this option then I'd probably still say go for the Roth, but there are other options.

Bluetooth is a bit of a drain on the battery, i would have thought a docking station is a must, just my oppinion of course.

I wouldn't worry overly about those 1 star reviews. Any popular item tends to get a number of one star reviews, for a variety of reasons. There's 54 five star reviews v 14 one star reviews. If you got a unit that buzzed it would be faulty and you would be entitled to a replacement. Mine doesn't buzz and has given me about 5 years of sterling service. Having said that, I don't know what has come out recently and sound quality may have improved over that time. But it's a quality unit that has stood the test of time and seems to tick your boxes and budget. Fair comment from simonlewis about Bluetooth draining battery overnight. You could always get a simple (£10) dock to hold and charge the phone. Albeit yes you could then just connect it into the radio alarm via a simple line-in cable, negating the need for Bluetooth (actually, with this option I'd get a Tivoli Model One off eBay for around £60 - lots on there).
Basically using the phone as an alarm is a valid option, negating the need to pay for FM or DAB tuners, a dock etc. Meaning more money to spend on the amp/speaker side of things, albeit Bluetooth devices are attracting a bit of a premium at the moment. Apart from the Roth (IMHO), hence suggesting it. As I said, opinion based on reviewing it recently, I don't have any links with them (and am not keeping the review sample!)

Just a little technical clarification required here (as opposed to the 'sales post' above from A.N. Other brand).
There is no risk of battery drain on a mobile device such as an iPhone, because we've put a USB 'out' power connector on the back panel of the DBT-001. This provides power for all mobile devices charging at 5v and the standard cables provided with the majority of smart 'phones are fine to use, so you don't have to fiddle around spending more money trying to find the right one.
Therefore, one can charge and stream music via Bluetooth without killing your 'phone.
