Cyrus system - Epos M12i or PMC DB1i?

I am trialling a Cyrus 6CDSE and 8vs2 system tomorrow with the M12i and the DB1i. What are people's thoughts about the respective merits and flaws of the speakers with that system? Are there other speakers I should give a whirl with the system (in about the same price range of 500 to 700 squids). The system will be going into a smallish flat (I'm looking for a sweet spot at low to moderate volumes - ie without cranking it). I listen to a rock, pop, soul, country, brass etc and am after something that is very detailed.

Well you won't get DB1i's for 700 quid, they'd gone up to 825 last I heard (and actually I recall a thread saying PMC were upping their prices again).

I'd suggest AVI Neutron Vs, which punch well above their weight, but tbh I'm not sure how well they'd go with the Cyruses. Consider also Opera Callas Mini; Dynaudio of various flavours (Excite/Focus); and strangely, I'd throw a pair of 280 quid Dali Lektor 2s at them and see how they fare - they look very exciting.......

Thanks, I'm getting the prices from the package discount. Seems prices are going up across the board.
