Can someone tell me which is the better player; Cyrus dAD3 with Q-module, or a Cyrus cd6, no S or SE?

They sell here(Holland) for aprox 350, a 400 euro's(second hand market).

Also is there a big difference when adding a PSX-R power suply to the dAD3?

I used to have the DAD3Q and a Cyrus CD6 (although it was the S version)

Unfortunately there was a few years in between owning these so comparisons are difficult. I would suggest that the more recent CD6 should be better.

Maybe you can demo them somewhere?

Also look out for a cd7.Adding a psxr does make a difference but not a £500 one so buy a used psxr then if your not convinced sell it on at no loss.

How stand these Cyrus cdplayers against the CD17 from Marantz?, the cd17 i know,i've had one in the past.

The marantz is warmer sounding than the Cyrus.

I think you need to go to cdxtse and dac x to match the Marantz.
