Cyrus mono VS Quad 909

Would the Cyrus Mono X 200 (signature) amps outperform the Quad 909? The Cyrus gear is double the price of what the 909 sold for. Would love to hear some opinions. Thanks guys : )

I would love to hear some with my own ears and would recommend you do the same. First start with speakers, then decide on amplication that fits best.

opinions are just that. Some like pizza, others like a 3 star Michelin restaurant.

I'm considerin arranging a home demo for the cyrus mono amps, would love to hear people's opinions of anyone who has either heard them or owns them, especially if they have also heard the 909 (which was crazy great value for money whereas the monos are super expensive).

My speakers are Epos M22.

Yes I'm aware I'm spending a disproportionate amount of money on amps for these speakers, but I like them and want to give them something good.

Anyone out there had experience with Cyrus mono amps?

Have you heard your speakers with a 909.

I had 2 x Cyrus SmartPower's running in mono mode.

I changed to Quad 303 and preferred it.

Although the change from Cyrus aCA7.5 to Quad 44 made a massive difference.

The difference in power amps could have been my imagination.

I currently own a Quad 909 and have for many years. I once bored some Cyrus smart powers and had them going in mono mode with my speakers and they didn't sound as powerful or as good as my 909.

However, I suspect the Cyrus mono amps are in a much higher class than the cheaper smart power amps.

Although the Quad is good, I have always found it slightly laid back, and suspect the Cyrus mono amps would outperform the Quad, anyone heard them?
