Hi all
I just got myself a spare amp from a garage sale, it's a Cyrus IIIi amplifier for 30 quid. I thought it was a steal !! Then i went home and lo and behold, my spare speaker cables did not fit in. I then learnt from Cyrus that this model uses a 3mm plug to connect cables to amp. The whole world uses 4mm. So, i have had to special order them from Cyrus UK as their local agents no longer carry them.
so, out of curiosity, do any other amps use 3mm plugs?
Why the switch to 4mm subsequently?
Anyone out there with a model IIIi amp that wants to share how it sounds (can't connect and so can't test the sound - for 30 quid i think buying blind is permitted).
Thanks for any info.
