Cowon Plenue D and Sonos Play 5. worth using a Dragonfly Red ?

Am I able to connect a Plenue D to a Sonos Play 5. Would a DragonFly Red improve the sound. What cables would I need ?

Can you actually get a digital feed out of the Plenue?

I play record deck with a cartridge amp to a Play 5 via line. Also MacBook with Dragonfly. Both sound good.
I tried to play a Plenue using line in but there is no sound.

The Plenue only outputs an analogue signal I believe so the Dragonfly would be superfluous.
