i was thinking about pairing the denon dm 37 with B&W 686 or maudaunt short mezzo 1 they don't need to go loud because my room is only small and also neighbours would'nt be happy

thanks for any replies

yes what about the 686? nobody speaks of these.beeing the dm37 a little bass heavy it could go well with the mezzos ,but if was going for mezzos id go for the 2

thanks for that i can't go for the mezoo 2 sadly because my room couldn't fit them in and also the sound could possibly dominate my room

the 902i have the same frequency range has the mezzo 1.only difference is the ventilated tweeter that can be better on the mezzo.try to audition both.mezzo's have a quite different tonality than the 686. only you will know what you like.

Mezzos are voiced differently to the Avant range. I think they'd be overkill with the Denon to be honest.

My suggestion is to look at the Dali Lektor 1. Won't swamp you with bass and won't be too revealing for the Denon. You'll just get a nice open, 3 dimensional and musical sound. Excellent speakers at the price.

the B&W s are nice speakers IMO but they don't sound very good with the Denon dm37, it just lacks the power to do them justice as they take a bit of driving. I haven't heard the Mezzos with it but the MS 902s sounded good with the Denon so maybe they'd suit it better.

the mezzo 1 is even better than the 902i,but same tonality to it.there's a review here of the 686, only 3 star.
