My LG 55" Oled tv has to be in the corner of my room and is on a tv unit. I have plenty of room for my existing soundbar on the same unit but would like to upgrade it to maybe Sonos Arc. My question is due to the longer length of the Arc the side firing speakers would be quite close to walls of my room on both sides so would this compromise the effects to a large extent, and if so would the Sonos Beam be a better option and add Sonos one speakers to create a home cinema system. I only mention Sonos as an example and would consider any compact system ( no room for floor standing speakers) as long as the rear speakers are wireless.

yes your assumption would be correct, the "effect" generated by the ARC would be completely lost in that position.

Save the money get the beam and maybe the subwoofer. Beam is a fantastic little product but i do have some handshake problems with the eARC interface, might be worth a read before you buy. It boils down to an occasional restart.

As i say its no slouch
