Contact cleaning

What would you all reconmend to clean cables and sockets?

I have a few days off comming up, so I am planning a really good clean of my system. I will take everything out and clean, then put back.

I will be cleaning Phono cables and plugs as well speaker cable connections.

Just unplug them, dust them, then re-connect them.

Tried it, liked it. You can pick up a pack which contains the fluid and necessary cleaning cloths buds etc for about £13. I found i t to be very effective. Search for 'Caig Labs K-AS10 Lint Free Accessory Kit'

Suggest make new connections with clean wire where possible and petroleum jelly to prevent corrosion. Banana plugs make life easy.

Yes, soldered banana plugs where the newly exposed copper has been 'tinned' first.

Youre so cool! I dont suppose Ive learn anything like this before.
