Not sure how best to connect my stereo system with subwoofer.

Equipment
Eversolo dmp8 streamer and dac
Topping a90d headphones/pre amp
Two topping la90d
Svs 3000 micro subwoofer
Concept 40 floor standers

I use the eversolo as a room endpoint and also feed hdmi earc from the TV

The eversolo has both XLR and RCA output and both can be on or one or the other can be on.

The a90d has both RCA and XLR inputs and outputs and headphone output can also be balanced or unbalanced.

The subwoofer has RCA in and out but no speaker level in.

The a90ds have balanced inputs too.

Before I got the subwoofer I had

Eversolo->xlr->a90d->xlr->la90d->speakers
Now I've got

Eversolo->xlr->la90d>speaker
Eversolo->rca->sub->rca->a90d->headphones when I want it

Problem is I have to turn the gain down on the sub to use the headphones which is ok but.

Another way would be to have my original setup but just have RCA from either the eversolo or the a90d to the subwoofer again this has the same issue when using headphones.

"
Why is it necessary to integrate a subwoofer?"

Er...because I want to. I'm not sure what your answer has to do with the price of fish though?

To help though the concept 40s roll off -6db at 53 Hz so movies and bass heavy music does sound quite a lot better with it in the system.

I'd suggest ever solo to an XLR switch then to power amps and headphone amp then RCA to subwoofer. Turn off the RCA when using head phones.

Considering downsizing to an all in one unit that turns of your speakers when using the headphone ?

I don't have a wiim amp ultra or ever solo and non of them have a pnono out for a headphone

Have a wiim amp pro

What it can do is when you find the setting, turn off the sub

Wiim amp home app or the equivalent wiim app can be used on a phone or tablet and use a dongle for it ifi audio ,audioquest or something else and stream from the tablet using your headphone

The svs app i don't know how much it can do, looks very simple and don't look like it can turn of the sub, but have presets for the sub you can use to lower the bass, if it's enough i don't know
