Hi everybody

I'm thinking of buying a Panasonic TX3780B but am unsure as to how I could connect this to my surround sound. Looking at the spec, it seeems to me the tv only has a headphone audio output and no digital optical out. I don't have a satellite box just freeview and am aware that broadcasts will not therefore be in 5.1 but I would just like the extra sound quality. Can anybody help? Thanks

if your using a home cinema system couldnt you just connect via HDMI? sound and picture that way 🙂

From what I can see on Panasonic's website, assuming you mean the Panasonic TH-37PX80B, it has a "Monitor out" which consists of two RCA analogue connectors. You should be able to hook these up to your amp therefore to have sound through your hi-fi speakers.

Or, just realised you probably meant the Panasonic TX-37LZD80, in which case this also states on the Panasonic website that it has RCA audio outs.
