Connecting marantz amp to CD player .

Hi.Has anybody connected a Marantz 6006 to 6006 amp to CD.Is there a difference between DAC's on them.I think I can optical out to optical in and use their DAC on the amp instead of the DAC on the CD with phono to amp.I think I have read this right but have been known to get it totally and utterly wrong from start to finish.

Hi there hillhater...at this level there isn't going to be much of a difference between the two if any at all.just connect it your preferred way and enjoy the tunes....me...I'd connect the cd player straight to the amp section and keep the dac for other streaming related duties.but hey,that's me.

The Dac’s are the same in the Marantz PM6006 and CD6006 so I would use a good set of phono leads
