connecting 2 external hardrives

If i buy 2 1tb external drives they come with there own power supply so could i connect them into my laptop. i have 4 usbs so i hoping to do 1 for dac-magic,1for wireless keyboard/mouse,1 for music hardrive and 1 for films,photos ect. Is that possible or will i working my laptop to hard.

If the hard-drives are self-powered, it should be fine.

thought so just checking.

as i gather that anything over 500gb is going to self powered. and seagate are doing a 1tb one for around £60 it is only 2.0 and onlt takes a 3.99gb file in on go but my laptop is only 2.0 and my ps3 and xbox will use one if i fat32 format it or something. but £120 for 2 seems good value.
