Hi. This is my AV gear

Marantz SR7011
Emotiva XPA Gen3 Black Modular Power Amplifier (3 Channel)

Tannoy precision 6.4

I use my Tannoy 6.4s as part as my 7.1 cinema setup with matching center

I would like to use some bonus money and improve the 2ch stereo side of my setup.

I believe from reading, I need to buy a integrated amplifier with preouts to run into my power amp, so my chain would be this.

Mobile/Tidal...... Chromecast audio - optical...... Marantz SR7011...... Integrated amplifier......
Emotiva XPA Gen3 power amp

Can anyone advise me if I have to much hardware in my chain?

Will I get much improvement adding a integrated amplifier and just making use of its stereo DAC and bypassing its own built in power amp? and using my own power amp.

I have £1000 to spend, I'm more than happy to buy used

If you think I should buy a integrated amp, what manufacturers or models should I look at?, The tannoy precision 6.4 apparently only sound good with certain amps, that compliment them

Please critique away 🙂

I reckon you would have, with a (seemingly) unnecessary integrated amp in it.
Currently, your Marantz is acting as a DAC for your Chromecast.

Is your Marantz also currently acting as a preamp for (2 channels? of) your Emotiva?
If so, what what would you want any new integrated amp to be doing?

In terms of HW you're very much ok, I think. To improve SQ I only see 2 possible paths: improve acoustics of your listening room or save further and buy (even) better speakers.
What would like to improve? What are the shortcomings now?

My shortcomings are, I get pist on whiskey, then order expensive AV gear that I don't realise I've ordered, then struggle knowing what to do with it.

Just something, minor 🙂

What's some amazing floor standing speakers under 3k that would be an upgrade?

Will check back at 2am later with credit card
