Confused? What should I set my scaler to? Panasonic TX-32LXD700 (TV) & Denon 1930 (DVD Player)

I would appreciate some advice regarding the most appropriate scaler settings to use when connecting my standard definition DVD player to my Panasonic LCD TV, in order to obtain the best picture quality.

Equipment:
LCD TV: Panasonic TX-32LXD700
DVD player: Denon DVD-1930

Connected with a HDMI lead.

The Denon DVD player is a standard definition unit, but can output up-scaled 720p, 1080i or 1080p images via the HDMI connection.

The Panasonic has a resolution of 1366 x 768, and I understand it can accept up to a 1080p feed, but then this is scaled down by the tv.

So I was wandering when watching DVDs, what setting should I set the DVD player to up-scale to: 720p or 1080i or 1080p? Or should I send a non-up-scaled image from the DVD player and allow the TV to do the up-scaling?

Many thanks.

At the risk of sounding like I'm copping out, I'd suggest you try the different settings and see what looks best. But I'd expect 720p to give the best results.
