What is the best amp/preamp/poweramp/switch/multi-channel volume control combination?

The input is digital (dacmagic) .

There are 2 large rooms, each with 4 x Mission Series 70 speakers (one in each corner). i.e. 8 speakers in total. There is high quality cabling, all coming through to one central control point.

Before recommending anything, what kinda music are you into and which Mission 70 series speakers are you using in each - 790, 792, 796 etc? What is your total budget?
