First of all I'd like to say what a great informative site this is with for information than I can understand. This leads me nicely to my question -

I would like to install a system that will give me a 46" LED TV with £D capablities in the future, a 5.1 speaker arrangement also be capable of playing CD, DVD and Blu Ray ( even though I don't have any yet but I understand they are the future ! )

I would be using the system mainly for music listening with a 65 / 35 split betwwen the music to tv use.

I am about to upgrade to HDSky so this would need to be incorporated.

I would need an iPhone dock to play music from via the system and transfer to from it.

This would all be installed into a room 7m x 6m but without a direct line of sight for the remote to the equipment.

The budget for this would be about £3000 but could stretch a little further if need be.

Apoligies if this is posted in the wrong section but I couldn't find a "Haven't got a clue section on the forum"

many thanks in advance for any help given.

Or maybe this

This is a good speaker package, I have the 685's as back sorround speaker and its amazing for the money.

These sets are all in all 4000 on this site, but if u look around in the net and in shops, i think u can get it for 3000. I hope u get what u need and that u get happy with it. My advise, listen to different speakers and amps, and the decide, sound depends on the ears that listen to it.

Have fun with finding the right things for u

I've been shown the Denon 1911 with a Blu ray player coupled up to BandW 25 theatre speakers. How does the pioneer match up to the Denon

Like you said it's all down to the ears.

Hello,

To me the VSX 2020, (the LX53 without BlueTooth), didn't justify the big increase in price over the Denon 1911 with a style speaker system, (MT-30). To me it wasn't particularly any better.

I'd have a listen to various options, and if you're interested in music you may want to think about Denon or Marantz.
