Purely out of interest, and forgive if it has been asked before, but is the only prerequisite of entering a comp to sign up as a forum member, without necessarily being a subscriber to any Haymarket publication.

Well yes, but the question was about whether or not you had to be a subscriber, not about geographical limitations, the reasons for which we've explained many times before.

As i am a new member to this forum and therefore have not read any explanations on whether you have to be a resident in Britain to qualify for any competition, will you be so kind to repeat your explanation please as i do not reside in Britain and would dearly want to know whether to enter any of your competitions in future.

The explanation is a) that different legislation covers competitions in other territories, and b) that competition prizes are arranged with UK distributors of the products.

What about people willling to pay shipping costs?

I live in Portugal and i buy your magazine for 5 years now.

Andrew Everard:The different competition legislation is the major stumbling block.

Not in Portugal.

That is not a game, for legal and criminal purposes, ie. like the casino games, subject to criminal prossecution; but a contest or competition, that takes place in the UK, a place i can visit, freely, in the EU.

I dont know the law in all EU, but the contest or competition, for the sake of my argument, in Spain, is also legal.

So, 2 countries where your magazines can be sold and your contests are legal.

So i buy your magazine for ? 8 euros, enjoy it, enjoy the content of your web site, but im less european for the all package of benefits. Ok.

Keep up the good work (no irony here, just making my point).
