My Cambridge Audio Azur 540a V2 is on its way out and so it's time for a new amp to drive a pair of Mordaunt-Short Avant 904i speakers and a subwoofer. I've been considering the Marantz PM6004 and the Yamaha A-S500 but am not clear on how they'll match the "brightness" of the Mordaunt-Shorts. Does anyone have any insight they can share on either of these two amps or others in the "up to £300" budget range that would work well with these speakers?
