Colour cast on Pioneer PDP436 XDE

Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can throw any light (excuse the pun!) on a problem i'm having with my plasma. i bought this tv about 2 years ago and it has been absolutly fantastic. but recently i have been experiencing a problem when i first turn the system on. for approximately 2-3 seconds when i turn it on the screen has a pinkish cast to it. After those few initial seconds, the colours kick back in and everything is fine, but can anybody tell me what might be causing this? When i called an engineer out, it didn't do it. I have Sky HD and PS3 connected.

Do you have the PS3 set to RGB or Component output.

ÿWhat yoy describe is the TH deciding what colourspace signal it is receiving. Pink and green means that it thinks an RGB signal is component.

ÿIf it gets it right after a couple of seconds then no need to worry. ÿ

i've got it hooked up via hdmi cable. Would it still think otherwise?

HDMI is just the physical transport layer. There is a setting in the PS3 to tell it to output RGB or Component signals over the HDMI.ÿ
