Cocktail Audio X30 sound advice...

HI,

I would like to know if someone has listen / tested the Cocktail Audio X30 and how does it compare to Pioneer N50 and / or Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6....

This machine sounds like it has all bells and whistles, but i can find any reviews of its sound quality.... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to read it as well , looks very nice a bit better than Cyrus All in one 🙂 but how it sounds ?is software reliable ? no idea , maybe I would prefer one without amplifier and than pair of actives and job done

Do you have any detail about the amplifier rating of 2x50w. Into what load at what distortion?

How does it sound ? Anywhere near naim unitiqute ? And is software stable ?

Pretty good to be honest - from what little we have heard, it's got slightly more output, but still not as detailed as the Naim!

The review is in dutch but the review was very, very negative about the X30.

I translated the Dutch review (with Google translate) that Cypher kindly shared with us. The Dutch review, did not have anything good to say about this machine.. Pretty dissapointed. Good thing I did not buy it...Although the ultimate judge (for me at least) it will be the What Hi Fi review when it is published...

What is it like as a front end only? It has a digital outpur, so could be used as a server, CD transport and hard drive.

Hi everybody, i own a cocktail audio x30 and i am looking at several bookshelf speakers to pair.

anyone knows about the cm1 paired with the x30?

i can not audit them before buying. I had a chance to pair the 686 s2, 685 and paradigm atom, very small but great sound.

any suggestion?

I heard the X30 with KEF R500 or 700 at the Bristol show and it sounded really good, so a pair of R100 or (better) R300 might be excellent.

It would be nice to have a version of this machine without the amplification, for direct connection (via Dac output) to an existing system. Can't think of anything similar (though Cyrus used to make one!)
